Altamont Landscaping Background

I was born on a third-generation dairy farm in Altamont, New York and spent my youth outdoors, where work started early—both on the farm and with my father’s excavating business. We ran heavy equipment, digging cellars for homes, ponds, water wells, leach fields, irrigation ditches: anything that involved moving dirt. I operated bulldozers, front-end loaders, draglines, stone crushers, backhoes and the like—all before I could drive.

I have always loved digging in the dirt! It's really that simple.

After high school, my dad told me to get a “real job,” so I quit digging. I went off and got an education, including an engineering degree and an MBA in marketing. This led to a long corporate career. But the earth has always called me back.

Altamont Landscaping represents that calling.

Like my grandparents, my wife Kathy and I raised five boys who understand what it takes to get a job done right and who appreciate the value and satisfaction in a hard day's work. With their help, we are enjoying the process of growing Altamont Landscaping.  Working with the earth is literally a part of us, as is making sure the community is a part of our business.

I hope you will give us the opportunity to bid on your next landscape project. We take our relationships seriously, and I personally guarantee you will be completely satisfied.

Let us help you create something beautiful.
